Platform Basics
Is FirmGated a broker or investment adviser?
No. FirmGated is not a broker, exchange, or investment adviser. It does not hold your money or make trading decisions for you.
Who controls trading decisions?
You do. FirmGated gives you the automation tools, trade history, and protection rules — but you're responsible for your own strategy, account, and Prop Firm Account compliance.
Execution & Routing
Can one strategy trade multiple accounts at once?
Yes. Your strategy, subscriptions, and broker accounts are kept separate, so one strategy can send trades to multiple accounts at the same time with different settings for each.
Does FirmGated guarantee fills or execution speed?
No. FirmGated improves your automation and gives you visibility, but broker APIs, exchange conditions, internet timing, and signal quality can still affect whether a trade fills.
Will the same signal fire twice?
We've built this in. FirmGated tracks each signal so the same alert doesn't accidentally place two orders.
Prop Firm Intelligence
Does FirmGated enforce Prop Firm Account controls automatically?
Not by default. FirmGated shows you your Prop Firm Account's rules and lets you choose: warnings only, manual approval before each trade, or automatic hard stops.
Can FirmGated block trades?
Yes, but only when you turn that on in your safeguards. Any block is your rule — FirmGated never overrides you without your permission.
What happens when a Prop Firm Account rule can't be identified?
FirmGated flags it as an unknown rule, alerts you, and falls back to your protection settings — it won't silently fail.
Accounts & Access
Do I need to verify my email?
Yes. New accounts require email verification before sign-in is allowed. This keeps your account secure and your recovery options working before you start automating real trades.
Can I recover access if I forget my password?
Yes. FirmGated has a password reset flow tied to your account email. Password resets are logged as security events.
Should I start with live capital?
No. Always test on a paper or evaluation account first, then go live only once your strategy and account setup are working correctly.
